Her Feet Hurt

From 2002-2005 I listened to the science teacher on my team complain about the teacher who worked next door to me. Her husband (the science teacher’s husband) never liked her, her parents had crappy dorm room furniture, and the rich thing was all a big act. Then I heard about the science teacher’s husband’s perspective: he walked by our classrooms, and I was teaching, but the teacher next door was working at her desk while all her students sat and read. Again, everything was a big act. The better part of my time mentoring was spent listening to her complain about my “next-door-neighbor.”
